A tour of the Maitland Hospital Emergency Department Short Stay Unit (ESSU), oncology day stay and intensive care unit (ICU) was given to the Board by Ms Paula Richards, Acting General Manager, Maitland Hospital.
Board members were joined by clinicians from the Maitland Hospital and Kurri Kurri Community Health Service over lunch. Employees from Nursing, Allied health, Support staff and Sector Quality
Ms McCosker visited Executive and ED staff at Maitland Hospital to offer her support for their efforts over a difficult time, The John Hunter Hospital management were ACKNOWLEDGED by the Board for their assistance to other facilities across the District in regard to ED performance.
