Your guide will explain how and why this impressive ceremonial structure was built, as well as highlighting the importance of the surrounding sites in the Navan complex.

The truth is that the Navan Fort, the anglicised term for Emain Macha, was probably never a fort at all. Inhabited for hundreds of years before the temple, as the discovery of the remains of many figure of eight buildings confirm, it had long been a place of spiritual importance.

The Navan Centre is two miles from Armagh City on the main A28. Leave the City in the direction of Killylea / Caledon.
