India faces a 26% reciprocal tariff—half of the 52% duty it levies on American imports. China, meanwhile, will see a 54% tariff in response to its 67% duty on US goods.

Despite a 27 per cent tariff, certain sectors in India are exempt, including auto and auto ancillary, which are already subject to a separate 25 per cent tariff announced in March. This means no additional tariffs will be imposed on this sector.

Though countries like Mexico, Canada and Russia were missing from the tariff list, Donald Trump announced reciprocal tariffs ranging 11-49 per cent on around 60 countries.
