Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp experiencing outages: Downdetector
Facebook is down and users are reporting outages to downdetector, the site that reports problems with popular websites. The Facebook spike started shortly after 1 p.m. Eastern Time. The biggest problem occured on the mobile app, where 57% of the problems were reported. The site had another 33% of the problems. And it was happening all over.
Meta platforms ‘99%’ restored after outage disrupts Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp
Meta announced a technical issue Wednesday afternoon disrupting access to the technology conglomerate’s apps. The company owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Meta said the issue is impacting some users’ ability to access apps. The company said it is working to get access returned as soon as possible.
