In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you will find different merchants that can sell you useful items. The traveling merchant is unique in the sense that you will never find them in the same location.

With the people no longer believing in Holo, nor requiring the wolf’s bountiful harvests, the deity sets off on a new adventure with a traveling merchant who just happens to be nearby.
