Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley named her a member of the Governor’s Commission on the Legacy of Slavery in Maryland.

The Rev. Paul D. Harte, pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, died Tuesday at 74, the church said in a Facebook post.
