Lionsgate didn’t show footage for Michael yesterday since all these decisions are up in the air for the film which stars Jackson’s nephew and Jermaine Jackson’s son Jaafar in the title role. It doesn’t sound like things are getting any easier for Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic. In January, it was reported that the film was having major issues with its third act—centered around allegations of Jackson’s child abuse and the subsequent media circus—which would lead to reshoots in March.
