Leaked photos of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con have some convinced that the new controller will double as a mouse.

Of course, even if an optical sensor is present on the Nintendo Switch 2 controller, there’s no guarantee that it will actually be utilized like this. The original Joy-Con features an infrared camera, but it is hardly used outside of a single 1-2 Switch minigame and some basic eShop download software.

A couple of photos of an alleged Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con have appeared online. They show a more rounded controller that could well be attached via magnets rather than plastic clips. The Nintendo Switch 2 must be due an announcement soon, considering the amount of leaks and product images that seem to be making their way onto the 'net.
