New York Yankee third baseman Oswaldo Cabrera has spoken out for the first time since sustaining a gruesome ankle fracture during Monday’s game against the Seattle Mariners.

The outpouring of support Oswaldo Cabrera received in the wake of his season-ending ankle injury has made a huge difference.

The Yankees are expected to play two-time batting champion DJ LeMahieu, veteran infielder Oswald Peraza, and rookie Jorbit Vivas at third. Manager Aaron Boone has not specified if second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. will return to third upon returning from an oblique strain.
