As part of its probe into the suicide of engineer Atul Subhash, the Bengaluru City Police on Friday issued a summons to his wife Nikita Singhania and asked her to appear before it within three days. The 34-year-old techie ended his life on Monday in Bengaluru,

The plea said that because of cases of false implication of married men using these laws, the real incidents of cruelty against women are looked at with suspicion.

The incident comes against the backdrop of a nationwide outrage against the suicide incident by Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru techie.

Bengaluru police raided the Jaunpur home of Atul Subhash's in-laws, who are accused of abetting his suicide, but found it locked. They pasted a notice

The notice was issued to Atul's wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, her brother Anurag Singhania and her uncle Sushil Singhania.

Bengaluru police have issued a notice to the wife of the Bengaluru-based techie, Atul Subhash, who died by suicide earlier this week alleging harassment by his in-laws.

The notice did not mention other members of her family, including her mother and brother, Nisha Singhania and Anurag Singhania, or her uncle Sushil Singhania even though the FIR mentioned their names.
