Utica singer Sofronio Vasquez wins ‘The Voice,’ becomes 2nd winner from Upstate NY
Sofronio Vasquez, of Utica, N.Y., was crowned the season 26 winner on “The Voice” finale Tuesday night. The Philippines native is the first Asian and Filipino contestant to win the U.S. singing competition, and also gave coach Michael Bublé a victory in his first season on the NBC TV show.
