Donegal great Michael Murphy made his return to inter-county football on Sunday - over two years after announcing his retirement - as he came off the bench to help his county to a 0-21 to 1-10 win over All-Ireland champions Armagh in Ballybofey.

All-Ireland winning captain came off the bench to great effect against Armagh in his first inter-county game since 2022.

Bar shooting him out of a cannon and onto the field at Mac Cumhaill Park in Ballybofey, it's hard to know how Michael Murphy could have made more of an impact.

It’s great to have him back, great to have his presence. “There’s not much I can say about Michael that hasn’t been said before. But I thought that he just led the line really well when he went in there.
