Billy McFarland, the infamous founder of the original Fyre Festival, confirmed the event is a go during an interview on Today on Monday, February 24, the same day tickets went on sale.
While the original festival was held on Great Exuma in the Bahamas, founder Billy McFarland said the sequel will take place on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. A total of 2,000 tickets went on sale on Feb 24.
Billy McFarland founded the infamous Fyre Festival, which stranded attendees in the Bahamas in 2017. In 2018, he pleaded guilty to fraud charges, one of which was connected to the festival.
