Speaking publicly for the first time since his acquittal, Daniel Penny said he restrained Jordan Neely on a subway car last May for over five minutes because Neely was “extraordinarily strong” and Penny was worried he would get up and attack him or someone else.

“He was just threatening to kill people,” Penny claimed in a preview of the interview, shared by Fox News on Tuesday, telling the network that’s what motivated him to come up from behind Neely and take him to the ground in a chokehold for several minutes.
