Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi was fined $5,000 by NHL Player Safety on Monday after elbowing Philadelphia Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway. The elbow from Domi came in the third period of Sunday's 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers.

According to The Athletic’s Chris Johnston, the Toronto Maple Leafs want to acquire a middle-six centre before the trade deadline. Adding more depth for what could be a long playoff run is a wise move by GM Brad Treliving.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has fined Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi for elbowing Garnet Hathaway, presumably in retaliation for Jake McCabe injury.
