Nearly 400 people — most of whom were Vietnam veterans — gathered on the 50th anniversary of the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam War.

WELLSBURG — About 50 local Vietnam War veterans and their spouses accepted an invitation from Wellsburg Elks Lodge 1553 and the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor Museum and Education Center to attend a dinner in their honor.

Members of New Orleans' Vietnamese American community gathered on Sunday, March 30, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon and to honor Vietnam War veterans.
