The aurora borealis will be more visible than usual Sunday night, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration projects, potentially giving Americans in 10 states a view of the northern lights.

The Northern Lights are visible across the region tonight! Due to G2 geomagnetic storm conditions, the northern lights can be seen further south across the northern United States.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) aurora forecast, the northern lights may be viewable in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and even Massachusetts tonight. The northern lights are typically most visible between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. according to NOAA.
