Whether it’s a hobby to connect to one’s roots or simply a fun way to engage with the community, Irish dance remains an enduring part of Irish tradition, especially on St. Patrick’s Day.

More than 2,000 people were expected to watch marchers from a range of local Irish groups, including the Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band, Stillson School of Irish Dance and the Portland Gaelic Athletic Association.
