Snow will start in Colorado’s mountains Tuesday morning and rain will hit lower elevations Tuesday afternoon before turning to snow overnight, according to NWS forecasters.

Monday will be the warmest day of the week as temperatures soar into the low to mid 70s across the plains Monday. Fire danger will be high across all of eastern Colorado.

Snow that came in late Tuesday in Colorado quickly created blizzard conditions late Tuesday and into Wednesday morning for places like the Palmer Divide and the Eastern Plains.

The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team issued a Weather Impact Alert for Wednesday morning because of blizzard conditions across the eastern plains of Colorado. Blizzard conditions should gradually improve Wednesday morning as the wind eases and the snow moves away.

A high impact storm that brought snow and wind to Southern Colorado last night will slowly pull away from the state on Wednesday.
