Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Sunday urged Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk to probe the base to ensure the country’s gold reserves are still there. He claimed the roughly 147.3 million troy ounces of gold stored within the base is not reviewed annually.
