U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he had reached an agreement with law firm Milbank that would require it to perform a total of at least $100 million in pro bono legal services during his second administration.
Leadership "concluded that it was in the Firm’s best interest to agree with the Administration’s suggestion and enter into our own Skadden-type agreement," chairman Scott Edelman wrote.
Milbank has become the latest Big Law firm to strike a deal with President Donald Trump to avoid a harmful executive order.
The deal has similar conditions to Trump’s deal with Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. According to Trump’s Truth Social announcement, Milbank has agreed to provide at least $100 million in pro bono legal services to causes that both Trump and Milbank support.
