You can find out what's in your Drive folders without opening them by reading an AI summary and chat with Gemini about the files inside. But those chats may be seen by Google.

Google has expanded the capabilities of its Gemini assistant to include summarizing entire folders in Google Drive.  Gemini is already integrated into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, offering different functionalities tailored to each app.

Writing on the Workspace Updates blog, Google said Drive users will now be able to leverage Gemini to summarize entire folders. It's currently limited to the web version of Gemini, with Google not saying if or when it intends to roll it out to the Drive mobile apps.
