Former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has explained why he signed with the Vikings. Jones was benched by the Giants last week due to a combination of ineffectiveness and the team not wanting to risk being on the hook for a large injury guarantee.

After six seasons together, the Giants released Jones last week, following a 2-8 start to a season that no longer held any promise. Tommy DeVito was named the team's new starter, and Jones was relegated to end of the bench, even behind No. 2 quarterback Drew Lock.
