This is a well used, busy park. There is a walk around the tarn, with benches to sit on, you even get close to the end of the runway so you can see planes take off. Loads of geese and swans which wer…Full review by idcus
I love yeadon tarn, it’s a great place to walk and with my niece and nephew; I’ve often wondered why there isn’t a cafe here. Is there some regulations that prevent this, surly someone could run a cracking business If it was allowed to open one here?

I agree I now own a mobile barista coffee bar and am trying to find out how to trade to sell freshly ground coffee, tea's, hot chocolate etc but it's a minefield
I Note with horror that one reviewer mentioned that they were flying their daughters drone at Yeadon Tarn. Whist not wanting to be a kill joy, this is an absolute NO NO so close to the airport and is against the Law. I fly model aeroplanes as a hobby, I am a member of the British Model Flying Association and pay to have 3rd party insurance. I only fly in areas designated as safe to fly. Leeds City Council Bye Laws also prohibit the flying of model aircraft in their Parks. If this was a small drone, it is not suitable for flying out of doors, loss of control of drones what ever size near full size aircraft could be catastrophic. We as responsible modeler are finding it hard enough to keep permissions for flying sites without giving authorities reasons to ban our sport. For legislation look at the web for dronesafe.uk/drone-code/ you could go to jail for five years if you do not comply.

Q1w2e3r41 has said this doesn't seem like a question? Quite right it was an observation and comment on some ones dangerous activities at the tarn. If I have offended you by using an incorrect protocol I apologise but if you are on an aircraft that crashes on take off as a result of an irresponsible drone flyer, it will be of little consequence to you if this was a question, statement, answer or just a rant. At least my conscience will be clear as I tried to avert the disaster.
