Mostly just a slow drive around Dingle Bay with a few stops to take photos and pick wild blackBerrys. We also stopped to watch a Sheep Dog show. It was a great part of the trip if your guide is like jonathan. He provided great historical references during the portion of the tour that was on the bus. This is a great trip. We would do it again if we went back. Happy travels! Oh, make sure you grab a bottle of Dingle Gin. It is an awesome gin!

Well you are on a train for an hour or so then a really quick change to another train. There is a long bus trip from the Cliffs back to Galway. The Bunratty Castle is very kid freindly lot's of animals etc...would keep a 4 year olds interests the Cliffs themselves might be lost an the 4 year old however they do have some activities inside the Visitors information center. So I would give it a thumbs up if you can keep the 4 year old occupied for the 1 /12 trip on the bus back to the train. Have a great time and hoist a toast of guinness to me.
