A bit of a mucky walk down a laneway to get to the abbey. But the abbey looks impressive standing on a walled island in the middle of a field (which was originally a lake but has drained over time).Full review by CRRG_Dublin

The Abbey is not operated by staff and is open all year round. Coming from Dublin side get off the M7 at junction 22 and after 1 mile take the 4th exit on the roundabout where the Fuel station and McDonalds are. Then heading for Dublin on the old N7 take the 3rd exit on this roundabout and after 100mtrs turn left and drive along a narrow winding road for about 1 mile and the lane to the Abbey is on your left. Leave your car at the top of the lane and take the 10 - 15 minute walk to the Island. Wear some old foot ware or hiking boots as the field can be soft at this time of year. Enjoy the peacefulness and take a camera.
