We always take visitors here. It is the best place in Sydney to see animals. Very friendly and you can get close up to the animals (where it is safe to do so). WWS acts as a sanctuary for injured aniā€¦Full review by Tania Maria L

We enjoyed this opportunity to get up close and personal with many animals, especially the kangaroos and emus. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable, and the pacing was excellent.Full review by BarryandJackie

Q:
Can you hold a koala with the hire a ranger?
A:
Not sure. We were only allowed to pet and stand next to the ranger. But the Sydney zoo allows you to hold them if you pay.

Is the "Personal Ranger Hire" the best option for a couple to have a great experience for a few hours; to include personal time with Koala, and Kangaroos? We are looking at visiting Saturday 7 October from about 9 AM until around 1 PM. Is that a doable time to have a great experience?

This is a very 'laid back' park, which we enjoyed. It's bush true and you can wander around on your own very easily. We watched the koala session and learned quite a bit, if you wanted to hold one then you'd need to book that when you arrive. Kangaroos and wallabies wandered around freely and you can feed them and pat them easily, you can't hold them though! 9-1 would be a good time slot, giving you plenty of time to sit and watch, could do it with a bit less too. We liked the staff directed hands-on experiences which were available to everyone. So, I'd recommend booking your time with the koalas but do your own thing apart from that.
Q:
What is the best mode of transportation to visit the park from North Sydney?
A:
I would say car! :)
Q:
HI, Yes, is there a restaurant or café? Is there a picnic area where we can bring our own lunch? Thank you. Kadd
A:
Yes there is a café. Yes there is a picnic area to eat.
