As previously said, yes. If you are lucky you will get an engaging guide who helps you understand what you are looking at and how to adjust your phone/camera so you can take photos. We had a very diverse group so got to chat with people from other countries, other walks of life and other experiences. If that is not up your alley, then don't do it.

Yes, you can -- basically, just drive out of town and try to find a spot with a clear sky and little artificial light, and in a cold night you have a good chance to see them. Not in summer …
Yes, you can -- basically, just drive out of town and try to find a spot with a clear sky and little artificial light, and in a cold night you have a good chance to see them. Not in summer (May to August), though, when it does not get dark enough. We used an app (there are several) for a preview of sun activity for the coming hours and days. The more activity, the more northern lights, statistically speaking.
