Good museum with some interesting keepsakes from Irish and world history. The peat bog exhibit is a unique must see. To say it’s a free activity if you’ve an hour spare in Dublin it’s a no brainer!Full review by RDaverage

I did not see tour guides when I was there. However, it is a small museum and you can easily pursue your own interests by following the printed museum map.

I can tell you four VERY good hotels less than 1/2 mile from the Museum. Two I have not stayed at, the Shelbourne Dublin and the Merrion and two I have stayed at The Fitzwilliam and The Dublin Westin. All of these are very nice and will vary in price depending ion where you book them. I would definitely look around to find a good price and deal. Good luck and enjoy the Museum of Ireland.
