We took the Jammer tour up from St Mary's. This was the turn around spot, and we had about 45 minutes to walk around. The main restrooms were closed due to it being after Labor Day and the line was…Full review by Lee L

Beautiful! So much to see! Gorgeous valley with views and bears, but bring your jackets, it gets really cold up there! Parking is a bit of a hassle, so go early!Full review by Tourist41658079421
We're coming to Glacier on October 22nd. We love to hike and Logan's Pass was one of the highlights we were looking forward to. The NPS website states that GTTS Road will be closed then. Is there any other way to get to Logan's Pass, St. Mary's and Hidden Falls? Is it likely that the trails in this area will still be open? This is our first time to visit, so any advice and help will be very appreciated!

In my option they will be closed as the weather has already changed in Glacier. I think that is a question to ask the parks ranger for certain just go to one of the parks/gov sites.
What does “open” mean? I understand parts close due to season/weather, but how much can you access? We will be there mid June next summer...can we still do the visitors center and hike Hidden Falls?

2017 we visited Glacier the last week of June. GTS road was “closed” in the middle- we could drive on it up west passed Lake McDonald and then you had to turn around. From the east it was closed right before Logan’s pass. We could not access Logan’s pass or hidden lake. It was not possible. This middle section of GTS road is the most magnificent drive- we went back a few weeks ago here in August 2018 just to see what we missed the year before. That being said- 2017 with the closures- we took the time to explore the outer parts of the park and it was still magnificent. Many Glacier/Two Medicine/St Mary’s on the east side are more beautiful than most of what we’ve seen at other National Parks in the U.S. We stayed on the west side, however with GTS road closed we had to drive the southern road around the park.......so it took 2 hours just to get to the east side. So- if you go in early June- try to stay on the east side as that is where the prettiest parts are and the most things to do.
Hi, After reading about parking, I was just curious as to just how early you "can" arrive at the parking lot? We plan on being there on the 2nd week in September and unfortunately on a weekend. We will be staying in Browning (an hour + drive) and we will only have one day there. We would hate to miss the Highline trail hike because of no place to park. In addition, how often do the shuttles leave and is there a long wait to return?
A:
You can arrive as early as the park opens. The shuttles are great, they run about 15 minutes apart.
