When buying castle tour and afternoon tea at 1400 what times should I book the castle entry?

We spent about 90 mins walking round the castle and visiting all the rooms/exhibitions etc. So I guess it does depend how long you want to wander, but I'd give yourself at least 90 mins …

There's a shop to have a nosey in if you did finish the castle earlier than your afternoon tea was booked!

Xiaomeng: You may have used a site not approved by the Castle's website. If the day you visit is rainy and you have booked admission, you will not want to visit an attraction that is mostly outdoors. I suggest that you ask someone at the hotel at which you stay to assist buying a ticket in advance. If the day has rain, plan to visit the fabulous National Museum. There is no charge, and you can enjoy a full day indoors learning about Scottish history.
