The pier is well worth a visit and the 50p entrance. Fabulous panoramic views but choose a nice sunny day. However, select food carefully from the cafe at the end. I am sure there will be some choice…Full review by Brian N

There is an entrance you go through with a kiosk, there was nobody manning it when we went and as I remember it was a narrow gap and not sure if you could get through this, however there are double gates (as I remember) for cars I assume taking provisions to the cafes etc but wouldn't know if they are locked. Hope this helps.
