Hi. In whitehorse we stayed at the Best Western Rush Inn and it worked for us and that is what we were assigned for the tour. It is a hotel of the 90´s with spacious rooms, but it already needs remodeling. On the site of sighting, they are nice cabins where you can have coffee, tea, chocolate and cookies.

Hi, I looked up the phases of the moon when I went. Apparently 7 days either side of the dark or new moon is good. But of course it depends on the cloud cover, and other variables. I went with Northern Tales for 4 nights & the best night turned out to be the last night. two nights in between were clouded over. It was the first time for me so I was thrilled. I went with Northern Tales in the Yukon, great company & they can probably advise you more. Also I think you can look up the Aurora forecast for Whitehorse. But no sure how far ahead they forecast it. Happy Aurora hunting & good luck
