Jan 29, 2025 · I keep my 2021 MBP limited to 60-80% charge unless I know I'm going to use it on battery for a while in the immediate future. So far, this strategy has been effective and I haven't had any issues, battery health is at 88.9% with 55 cycles.

Apr 8, 2015 · I have AC+, and take my launch day iPhone 13 PM to sauna and steam room 4-5 days a week. If heat really degraded, it would be fed by now. I have better battery health than folks who babysit their phones. That said, expect battery deterioration to accelerate after 3.5-4 years. Time/age is one the biggest contributor to battery health.
Battery Health Has Remained at 81% for the Past Year?!?!?!
Jul 13, 2008 · Okay so I had my battery replaced at the Apple store on my iPhone Plus. From 100% it then went down to 81% in January of 2020. And since then the battery health has remained exactly the same. How odd that it should conveniently stay at just over 80% for over a year. edit: btw I charge my phone AT LEAST twice a day from one percent to five percent.

Oct 3, 2015 · This is not true. My battery health said 85% but I couldn’t get through the day without having to recharge. I made an appointment at Apple just this past Monday. The tech tried to convince me that my battery was fine and it wouldn’t covered under Apple Care. I told him I knew that and would pay for it.

May 24, 2007 · still 14 months old but at 296 cycles and health at 91,5% now, coming from 88% for a few weeks ago (at 286 cycles) and even been as low as 82% a couple of months ago. Last few days it's been used heavily on rendering animations in Keynote, iMovie and Sketchup. Battery got quite warm but health went up to 92%. I don't try to understand.

Now this is an estimate because battery health is typically not linear. If you start having problems with your battery down the road, its possible its defective. But as of now, I wouldn't worry about it.

Note that not all batteries are the same. My M2 MBA showed 101% earlier in its life so I got a good one.
