Oct 20, 2010 · When receiving emails from my server, Charter Communications, they go to that email box as well as my Outlook email box. When I delete emails in my Outlook email box, even though they may be just a few, all of the emails disappear in my Charter Communications box. Do you know what settings I need to put in to correct this problem?

Feb 23, 2016 · I suggest you to to contact Charter.net support as the issue is specific to computers with Charter.net. Also follow these steps to remove an account from Mail app. If you don't want to see email from an account in the Mail app anymore, you can remove the account.

Mar 2, 2016 · I FOUND IT!!! There are two email accounts, one labeled "IMAP Charter.net and the default (I thought) labeled Charter (mehowell). The IMAP Charter was marked sTmp - I'd been checking the mehowell account which was marked correctly as smtp. changing IMAP to smtp seems, I HOPE, to have corrected things. I think I'll delete the IMAP Charter account.

I am using the recommended settings that Charter email suggests: pop.charter.net, smtp.charter.net, 110 and 25 for incoming and outgoing servers and when the settings are tested the outgoing email worked but can not receive. My POP3 works on my old computer.
