As Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing heavy snowfall, locals have displayed their hospitality by opening mosques and homes to stranded tourists.

IMD has forecast isolated light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir until December 30. Check Srinagar's first snowfall visuals below.

Traffic was also disrupted on the Srinagar-Jammu national route, leaving around 2,000 vehicles stuck. On Friday, significant snowfall fell in portions of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, causing traffic jams in various areas.
