Hot Frosty? It's Netflix best new Christmas movie that has somehow bewitched critics, despite its goofy premise

Lacey Chabert's new Netflix Christmas movie Hot Frosty is the nice kind of naughty and a refreshing addition to her Hallmark repertoire.

The Netflix Christmas Universe (or NCU, as we like to call it) is coming together, with five new offerings this year almost all having a connection to another Christmas film on the streamer. But “Hot Frosty” also has a very explicit reference to “Mean Girls” — and it’s made by none other than Gretchen Wieners herself.

"If every woman is hot for this snowman, what the hell is wrong with the men in this town?" I asked myself. And then I met the men.

More specifically, the exterior scenes of the downtown area in Hot Frosty were filmed in Brockville, a city in Eastern Ontario in Canada. According to a local news report from the city’s HometownTV12, the ice sculpture competition set was constructed outside of the Brockville city courthouse.

Hot Frosty is the new Christmas movie streaming on Netflix. It’s the holiday movie you didn’t think you needed.
