Sony has announced it's shifting the focus of its PlayStation Plus monthly games and Game Catalog updates toward

PlayStation Plus is moving away from offering monthly PlayStation 4 games beginning in 2026. The paid subscription service will still offer them “occasionally,” but the main focus of the program will be PS5 games, and it only took almost the entirety of the current console’s life-cycle to see customer demand get there.

Level 5’s soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is planned for release on PS5, PS4, Switch, Steam, Android and iOS in June 2025. The studio is also currently working on the first new main game in the Professor Layton series in over a decade. Puzzle-fantasy adventure Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is set to release for Switch in 2025.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the February 2025 Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers. All titles will be available from February 4 to March 3.

You’ll still have access to monthly PS4 games you’ve already redeemed, but Sony is shifting its focus more fully to PS5.
