A massive storm system will impact the entire weekend. Any snow this morning will be washed away by rain. Periods of rain through the first half of Sunday also carries a flooding risk. The weekend storm ends with falling temperatures, a return to snow, and gusty conditions.

The best chance for significant rainfall will be in Southern Maryland and the Lower Eastern Shore, where a low-end threat for severe weather, including damaging wind gusts, exists as the system moves through.

For Valentine's Day, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine, with high temperatures reaching near 40 degrees. Winds will remain gusty out of the west-northwest at 10 to 20 mph, adding an extra chill to the air.
