Travellers going through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) on Jan. 10, 2025, may have been exposed to a confirmed case of measles, public health officials have warned.

The resident is undergoing treatment in Anchorage for the highly contagious virus. Meanwhile, state health officials are tracking down “several dozen” individuals the patient was in contact with while contagious.

Seattle and King County was recently notified of a confirmed measles case in a person who traveled through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport last week.

The Christmas Eve stowaway who boarded a Delta Air Lines flight to Hawaii slipped past both a TSA ID check and a gate agent with no ticket, according to public records obtained by CNN.
