The last two living survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre have vowed to continue their fight for reparations following the release of a new DOJ report.

The two last survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Lessie Benningfield Randle and Viola Fletcher, released a joint statement in response to the report the Department of Justice released on the Tulsa Race Massacre.

The Tulsa Police Department said the suspect in a north Tulsa standoff was fatally shot by an officer after barricading in a home.

A standoff ended with a shooting Friday afternoon. The police standoff near Pine and Sheridan started as an attempted armed robbery call. Police says the suspect was inside the home with his girlfriend.

Officers first responded Friday morning to the scene near 5900 E. Marshall St. where a man reportedly pointed a firearm at a teen domestic violence victim.
