Samsung might be working on a “Galaxy S25 Slim” model, with similar rumors to the ones about a “Slim” iPhone 17 in 2025 that may replace the iPhone Plus. South Korea’s ET news first reported on it, saying Samsung might release a slim smartphone during the second quarter of 2025 (April – June) as a follow-up a few months after the rest of the Galaxy S25 family makes their debut.

A device that could be the fourth Galaxy S25 model has appeared in the GSMA IMEI database, lending more credence to Galaxy S25 Slim rumors.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim was spotted on the IMEI database with the model number SM-S937, according to a Smartprix report. A US variant of the handset with the model number SM-S937U appeared on the website as well. This suggests that the phone could launch in both the US and global markets.

The outlet specifically notes that the slim Galaxy S25 phone could launch in Q2 2025, with the iPhone 17 Slim poised to launch in Q3. Apple’s thinner phone is tipped to offer a 6.6-inch display and a single rear camera, so we’re keen to see what compromises (if any) Samsung will make with the Galaxy S25 slim model.
