Comcast gained the rights to broadcast the Olympic Games through 2036 as part of a new $3 billion agreement with the International Olympic Committee.

The $3 billion deal will also see the parties collaborate on technical infrastructure and advertising support of the games.

The contract extension will allow NBCUniversal to broadcast the 2034 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City on NBC and streaming service Peacock

The deal with the IOC also includes technical and advertising support surrounding the games.

Comcast has signed a US$3bn deal with the International Olympic Committee to extend its rights agreement to carry the Olympics Games until 2036 in the US.

The media rights deal also includes partnerships on digital advertising, broadcast infrastructure and in-venue distribution

Comcast is paying $3 billion to extend its Olympics rights deal through 2036. The renewal with the International Olympic Committee will give two more Olympic Games to NBCUniversal, including the 2034 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City/Utah and the Summer Games in a city to be determined.
