UConn women’s basketball are kicking off their season Thursday night against the Boston University Terriers at the XL Center in Hartford.

Jana El Alfy had 17 points and 11 rebounds and fellow freshman Sarah Strong had 17 points and six steals as No. 2 UConn opened its season with an 86-32 win over Boston University on Thursday night. Paige Bueckers had 13 points,

No. 2 UConn (1-0) won their season opener against Boston University (1-1) inside the XL Center with a commanding 86-32 win over the Terriers.

UConn women’s basketball opened the 2024-25 season with a blowout XX-XXX victory over the Boston University Terriers at the XL Center on Thursday. Sarah Strong and Jana El Alfy tied for the team lead with 17 points in their collegiate debuts.
