Some 4,000 security forces were deployed to keep the peace in Paris as Israel's national soccer team faces France a week after antisemitic attacks in Amsterdam.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed that two rescue planes be sent immediately to Amsterdam following “a very violent incident” targeting Israeli fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv after a soccer game against Ajax.

With thousands of extra security personnel deployed on the streets of Paris and a “double ring” of security thrown around the national stadium, France is taking no chances with Thursday’s soccer match with Israel.
