SUNRISE -- Anton Lundell had a goal and two assists for the Florida Panthers, who scored twice in the third period to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday in a rematch of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.

Their lead would again be short lived though, as Leon Draisaitl jumped on a neutral zone turnover before beating Bobrovsky with a sneaky backhand, sending the game to the third period deadlocked at two. For the third time Thursday, the Panthers took a lead over Edmonton.

It also had a familiar sight from that Game 7 by game’s end: Florida winning.

Vitek Vanecek stopped all 21 shots he faced in his Florida debut, and the Panthers beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-0 on Saturday night. A.J. Greer, Carter Verhaeghe, Anton Lundell and Sam Bennett all scored as the Panthers won their sixth-straight game.
