ANAHEIM, Calif. — Trevor Zegras was back in action for the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, taking shifts for the first time in nearly seven weeks. The omnipresent question that follows the playmaking forward is how much longer he will play for them.

Mason McTavish scored two goals and Trevor Zegras and Jansen Harkins each had a goal and an assist to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Trevor Zegras returned from a torn meniscus in his right knee in a 5-2 loss against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday and had four shots in 15:48 of ice time. The Ducks forward was injured late in the first period of a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Dec. 4.

The Ducks have struggled to produce consistent offense since the start of the 2024-25 season. If Zegras can maintain his post-injury production and couple it with his newfound 200-foot identity, his reinsertion on the depth chart will likely provide a much-needed spark to the team's 5v5 and power play offense.

John Gibson made nine saves before leaving after the first period with an upper-body injury. Lukas Dostal replaced him and made 31 saves for Anaheim, which ended a four-game losing streak with a 5-1 win against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

Trevor Zegras hasn't played a game for the Anaheim Ducks since December 4, but that should be changing on Tuesday night.
