A Philadelphia police officer is in the hospital after they say the officer was struck by a civilian vehicle in South Philly Sunday evening.

Video of the crash, which took place during the Eagles game Sunday, allegedly shows Thomas Herrschaft striking the car with his Mercedes.

The officer, assigned to the traffic division, was struck at around 5:57 p.m. at 1000 Pattison Ave., police said.

In addition to the vehicle strike, authorities are said to be investigating an alleged gun firing that also occurred amid a celebrating crowd of fans. In a video of the moment shared to social media, a person is seen lifting their arm into the air and firing off three shots before a bystander says, "I believe that was a gun."
