A damage assessment on Tropicana Field following damage sustained during Hurricane Milton last month found that the stadium is structurally sound and can be repaired, but it will come with a hefty price tag: $55 million. That’s according to a report sent to the St. Petersburg City Council Tuesday, obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.

Only $6.5 million of public funding has been set aside by the city council, meaning the Tampa Bay Rays will have to cover the rest of the costs themselves.

The City of St. Petersburg said damage from Hurricane Milton to Tropicana Field can be fixed for $55.7M, but the stadium won't be ready until the 2026 season.
