BUDAPEST, Nov 7 (Reuters) - As much of Europe frets over the return of Donald Trump, Hungary's Viktor Orban is in a jubilant mood. "A much needed victory for the World!" the Hungarian nationalist leader wrote on X minutes after Trump declared victory.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is due to host dozens of European leaders in Budapest later this week as relations with fellow partners have become increasingly strained.

Viktor Orban held a phone call with Donald Trump on Thursday, raising concerns among some European Union officials that the Hungarian premier may be planning to invite him to dial into an upcoming EU meeting should he win next week’s US election.
